The Brumby Show & Open Day is a one-day event dedicated entirely to brumbies and the people who own and work with them, run by The Brumby Project. About The Brumby Project
The Brumby Project is best known for its brumby starting camps at Amamoor in South-East Queensland, including the 10-Day Brumby Starting Camp, where participants learn to take a completely wild, untouched brumby through to being a willing riding partner over ten days, taught by instructors with a combined 30-plus years of experience. The Brumby Show itself is held at Braceland in Wolvi, a new location for 2026 and separate from the Amamoor camp base, so it's worth double-checking your directions even if you've been to one of their camps before.
